FIGURE SECTION arose from the meeting of Olivia Carrère and Yannick Franck (RAUM, Orphan Swords, Mt Gemini) in Brussels on a theatre stage.

Instantly becoming close friends, they first went on composing scores for plays and performances, which unveiled a liberating sense of creative euphoria. Quickly finding out about their common passion for Cold Wave and Synthpop, starting a duo became an obvious thing.

Deeply rooted in these genres, the band injects an idiosyncratic, modern spirit into it.

Their first single "Teutonic Knights", was featured by the webzine Brvtalist - who described it as an "infectious wave with an eerie atmosphere" -.

Their debut EP "Spectre" was released at the end of 2019 on the Berlin label Aufnahme + Wiedergabe
